I have to admit that if I was at peace with life---I wouldn't be on here--happy that you are though!!

What a great read. So nice to see someone who appreciates the little things. I dont know about peace, but I am content. I have learned that life is full of big waves and little waves...and you just have to learn ride them out and the calm will come.

Congratulations on the new gig and I'm glad it's a good enough one to give you peace. I have 4 more work days and I am out of here forever. That's my Christmas present to me. Joy.

I think maybe Peace was what I finally felt when I left 11/2015 from the stress of retail after 16 years. I am just so happy for you- you waited it out perfectly. We havent had but a spattering of snow, but I love to walk in it when it first begins and it will be extra rewarding this year in my new neighborhood. The sad part is they clear cut the woods and left no hiding spaces for the birds, but I am hopeful and put up feeders. I heard a line in a very old movie, maybe from the 30’s or 40’s that resonated with me. He was talking about a good day. He said “ when you lay your head down at night with a full belly and a clear conscience, you have had a good day”. Those little things can mean a lot.

Oh yea my friend I am so glad your starting to feel peace in your life once again as you have had a rough few months. I am so very happy for you and I bet you can't wait to start your new job. It's snowing yea to that too, I sure wish it would here, but it never will lol. I was wondering about those Jersey Mikes Sandwiches and if they are good? We have a Jersey Mikes about an hour or so away and I so want to try them. May the peace and serenity continue in your life..

Few things refresh me as well as a peaceful time in nature. I went to the Lk Michigan shore today after hearing about a shipwreck from 1870s that was visible - again. Seems the wind and waves and sand expose it and then cover it up again. Even though there were people around, they were not raucous and you could still hear the peaceful lapping of waves on the shore. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

So glad you are happy and at peace with a new job! We are having chinook winds blowing for the next few days...top wind speeds here in Southern Alberta have reached 167kph (104.38mph)...semi trucks blown over...it is considered a "bad hair day"

And a good evening to you, sounds like you are in good mental shape and have shaken this uncertainty off your shoulders. So glad to see you this way. I too think it is a good world and most all are in place.. I to live where you can hear the snow fall, big round flakes falling and the birds get so mad because it covers up all they know, they come to my back porch as I feed them. Sounds like a wonderful and productive morning. Hearing snow fall, now that is something I have not done at all. Have been to the snow, don't get me wrong, but never been outside when it has been falling - usually been in bed fast asleep when it does. Dogs can be so funny at times with their antics.

I am happy to hear you had a good day. It was nice to read about it. The title of the post was kind of eye catching....Bodily Fluids. LOL I should donate blood too. This was my first time donating back in June. I was told for many years that my hemoglobin was too low. I had been taking some iron pills prior to my donation so it fell into the normal range. Woohoo! I am O positive so they really want my blood. I get an email once a week and a phone call or text quite often too. Unfortunately I do not have someone to go with me and I don't know about my driving afterward. When I donated in June it was at a college and the biggest blood drive of the year with the local News station there. My young friend went there with me and he joked that if they wanted to interview him he would say "I never knew my father." Referring to a line from the Disney movie Finding Nemo. Just remembering that makes me laugh. My neighbor is 69 years old and said he has donated for over 40 years. I wonder how many folks have received his blood over the years. He could indeed be a lifesaver of many. Independently Romantic Sounds Better Than Lonely

Great to read that things are starting to turn in your favour. Giving back is so important and nothing is more so than the ‘gift of life’. I have learned to take one day at a time and to live with no regrets.

Peace is an odd thing. I have my moments, but being mindful of the moment, immersing myself fully, and freely into it... there is a kind of peace there. Thoughts from the Garden...

At peace? No...there are some things that I am working through, and some family worries. More relaxed than I've been in a couple of weeks now that I'm in Washington...got some really lovely hugs when I got here, even from the little one who didn't want me to pick her up from school...lmao. (First time ever she has happily run to me for a hug and to be picked up...day made.) "Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax." – Mark Black

It's great to be happy, the events bring us joy and peace and trust and certainly the paths become lighter and more productive.

Sounds like you had a great day. A perfect mix of excitement and peace. You have the season now to enjoy the tranquility . A bit of snow and a little "mad man" running around . I am quite at peace, things in my life are going well

Plenty weighing me down...but I pretty much go with happy thoughts anyway. I too live out in the country side,,very peaceful. I do need to get back into giving blood platelets,,but trapped in a chair for 45 minutes is a long time....the drive to the Red Cross is 35 minutes..so the whole event takes almost 4 hours by the time one is interviewed and tested for iron content and having to hang around to recover...they never let one walk out the door without making sure one is fully capable. I was so drained the last time I had to hang around for a 1/2 hour. After the spine fusion surgery I could not donate for a calendar year, due to a cadaver bone being placed in my spine. Nice to hear your comfortable again.

I'm happy to be free of pain again but I am missing the company of a woman to make me feel at peace.
