Responding to posts

Responding to posts I continue to be baffled by this site. I am very active in the blogs and the advice lines but more often than not my responses don't even show up. It's very frustrating to me as I don't want people to think I'm not responding to their blogs after viewing them. Any clues as to why this happens?? |

Glitches are a big factor, everyday there's a different glitch going on and something doesn't work or as your saying post. Just saying.

I always respond with the "Add a quote" when I post... that way, when the application is working as expected, my bloggers know that I have responded to them... If I just comment, then, they won't see that in the "Where I'm quoted" area of the blogs... If people don't do that... then... I don't know that they have responded to my quotes... and, I don't follow-up with that... I've told multiple bloggers that... but, most get so many hits that they don't invest the time to communicate on an ongoing basis... but, that's ok... 'cause I have enough that read me and that I read to make this such an enjoyable feature of the site... meeting women emotionally rather than thru visually with pics... good luck!!! I don't have my own blog, but I believe the owner of a blog has to approve a post before it will show up. So if they aren't keeping up with their blog and don't approve the posts regularly, you won't see yours until they do. If I'm out to lunch on this, I'm sure someone will correct me.

I agree. This site seems to only work when it wants too... Can never know if replies actually post or not.

This shows a list of all your post entries. Using the quote link to respond to individual comments creates a digital paper trail (that's usually broken at level 1) ....

A lot of glitches and yes it is frustrating. What hinjj said is correct that is what I tend do as well refresh and see if your comment went through Happy Weekend!!!

This site can be pretty buggy sometimes. As a "tech guy", all I can add to what has already been said is to always be sure that your software has all the current updates installed. Usually this will happen automatically. Occasionally it needs approval. Updates are especially necessary for your "OS" (operating system, Win, Mac, Linux, etc.) and your web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.). I especially like the "hit refresh" after posting idea that was suggested. (Hitting the "F5" key is typically a shortcut for that.) You should not need to do this, but that would be a really good test. A lot of this site is driven by browser supplements (i.e. "plug-ins" or "add-ons") like Adobe Flash and Java... so be sure those are up-to-date. Firefox makes this easy, and I highly recommend that browser. (BTW... I am using Chrome on Linux.) Try a different Web Browser to log-in with. I always suggest Firefox first on the Windows OS, or even Mac-OS. As mentioned too, if the blog is set for posts to be approved, a reply will not show up right away, or not at all. There are obvious clues for this though. The biggest one being a text string associated with every post stating how may replies are approved, or not. Learn to look for that. If you have an old (i,e, slow, or 5+ years old) PC, that could be a problem, especially if your OS is no longer supported. (In that case, try replacing it with Linux, for a free upgrade [attempt].) Windows Vista for example will flat-out not even run the Microsoft Browser (Internet Explorer, or "IE") correctly anymore. (MS dropped support on that one.) Again, try Firefox (or get a new PC). The new MS browser is called "Edge", and it requires Win-10. Generally speaking, I do not recommend any MS products. But I do occasionally still use the Win OS... just NOT their browser... ever (except for testing). If you are using an old version of MS-Win, be sure to search and check-out "Windows lifecycle fact sheet". Once your Win OS reaches "End of extended support", it basically will not work correctly (or "safely") anymore.... But you may be able to replace it with Linux (try "Linux Mint")... for free (if you or someone you know can handle that level of tech).

I'm sure you realize after all this time that this site is really bad at letting people communicate. The chats crash all the time, pics don't load.
