It is the heat of summer. I am melting. I feel exhausted and depleted. The heat just drains me.
Can I sleep until October?
I love my flowers. The rest .... meh.
Wake me up for soup, stew and bread season.
Sweaters. Quilts. Cuddles.

I don't enjoy it any more, either. Have become quite indoorsy in mid summer. The weeds in my garden go unpulled...
I wait until evening to pull weeds. Midday is too much. Also, the weeds are flourishing, LOL.

Sometimes I am not sure what is worst…the dog days of summer or frigid temperatures, ice and snow of winter. Heat warnings are in effect for the next couple of days. Hallelujah ? For air conditioning!
Our winters are mostly mild with about 2 weeks of ugly. So it is easy for me to choose summer as worst

I'm just the opposite. I love summer - when I can be rescued by the pool and A/C, that is. I'll stay outside until I can't. Such a pretty pond!
I might change my mind if I had a pool. However I sun burn so stinkin fast ....

Of late, I've been going out and doing the yard work after dinner. Seems to work out OK, if I don't overeat beforehand.

Oh Yes she is a hot one for the next couple of days here in wisconsin..I prefer the warmth of a ladies bosom on my face instead of the heat... Your pond looks beautiful and a very calming affect..hugs dear
