Hello Lovebugs,

How was your weekend?

Mine was epic. In a bad way. LOLOL

Friday we went back to the phone store. I was once again working to keep Cowboy calm. It's getting old to be the responsible adult. This weekend he had a few hiccups with his phone but I solved them. Fingers crossed he has things right now.

Saturday morning, Cowboy was leaving early to help son with some tasks. I woke up to the overwhelming stench of skunk!! Gag me stench. I picked up the new phone and texted him.
Did the dogs get sprayed by a skunk? The bedroom stink is horrible!
About the same time, I received a message that things were locked up and he was leaving.
Then a couple of minutes later, he texted that he had not smelled anything but was coming back up the driveway.
He opened the door to the house and nearly fell over from skunk perfume.
His dog passed the sniff test but the Golden Retriever failed. BIG time.

Cowboy put those 2 out in the west yard and as he stepped out with them he found the originator ...
In pieces in the yard.
Best guess, the Golden saw the intruder and rushed over to investigate. Pepe Le Pew sprayed, hitting the dogs face and chest.
The docile, submissive Golden has been showing herself to be a snake killer this summer. Now we have to add skunk to her list.

Soooo Cowboy washed the Golden repeatedly to get the skunkiness off of her. He washed his Labrador too since the goofball kept stealing the hose and surely he had some overspray on him.
Meanwhile my Irish was safe in bed with me.

If you or your pets get sprayed, I highly recommend the online recipe of hydrogen peroxide, Dawn dish soap and baking soda. We have used it several times and it works.

Or just get naked and play outside with the water hose, hehehe.
