HA! I LIED!!

Yep, I thought it was a virus before Christmas, was feeling better, and then last Friday another fever hit me. What gives? Something was wrong, so I did a video visit Monday afternoon. Sure enough, bronchitis again. Third time since last April. It makes me mad, but I'm working and taking a Zpak and steroids again. My pulmonologist is gonna hear it from me. We need to PREVENT this. Moving on...

I think I told y'all that I joined a Support Staff Union this past summer. Didn't know it existed, but I'm in. I met 2 of the Badass ladies that run the union, and told them my grievances. They went to bat for me, and got me a raise!! It's a nice number, and I will also be getting retro pay from last fall! I'll take it!!

So, Hubby applied for Social Security, and will officially be retired March 1st. Now, I provide insurance and all the fun stuff. He has taken care of me all these years, while I bopped all over the place doing music gigs, raising the kids, and doing all the cooking and cleaning. Now, our roles have completely reversed (but no kids at home). It's a little weird getting used to it, but I'm good!! Whatever it takes to make ends meet, and be HAPPY.

Our 40th anniversary will be in July. How the hell did that happen???

I am sorry you are sick again. The doc needs to work with you to build your immune system.
I am so happy your hubby can retire. Life will settle into a good routine.

Thanks, Pony. I'm sick of being sick. And these steroids make me bounce off the walls. Yes, my pulmonologist needs to do something. I like a good routine, especially when Hubby does the cooking and cleaning!

Hope the doctor gets it right for you but there are days I feel they are trial and error approach just like fixing a newer car.. Well I hope you will like your new situation, I am retired and the wife works, not sure if she likes it some times but I basically do everything in the house. wishing the hubby a long retirement..

Confessions of a biker babe

This is my first blog, so here goes... My husband and I just got back from "HOGROCK", down in SO. IL. It's a 4-day biker/camping event, similar to the "BOOGIE", which is in So. IN.
