THIS STUPID WEATHER!

I haven't been online much this week. Our main laptop, which was brand new, had a glitch, so we had to ship it back to be fixed. I'm using this little tablet for now.

I had my "girls" smashed on Monday (mammogram), stopped at a grocery store on my way home, and their tornado sirens went off! I had never been out and about during a tornado warning, so I called Hubby to see if I should stay there. He said he looked at the radar, and everything was north of us. OK, I started the 15 min. drive home. WTF - yes, I got caught in it! Our winds were clocked at 90 mph, with flash flooding. I was on the phone with him, cried, pulled over a few times because I couldn't see a damn thing, and finally made it home. I stayed in the garage a while, then worked up enough nerve to grab everything and run to the house. I was soaked.

We didn't have any damage, because we don't have many trees on our property, but they got slammed in town. They are still without power, 3 days later. The town I work in got hit again, they might not have power til Sunday. We were out for about 7 hours, but our whole house generator saved the day again. I swear, it's been the best $6K we've ever spent. We took one of our gas powered generators into town for a relative, and drove around to assess the damage. The elementary school I went to had its roof torn off, throwing part of it into the church roof. What a mess. Poles down everywhere, and 2 semis on their side on the highway.

I'm so done with this wacky weather. Today should be 87, hoping to get in the pool again. Water is only 82 - a bit nipply for me!
