HEALTH ISSUES

I am usually a very positive person, but I'm freaking out a little bit here. As my friends know, Hubby is the one who has had all the health issues. He just about died almost 3 years ago, and I'm used to caring for him. (FYI - he's better than ever right now.) I'm the one who is having all the tests done now.

Wednesday I'm having an Endoscopy/Biopsy to make sure my esophagus is good to go. (Dummy me drank something I shouldn't have back in June, causing issues.) Doctor said to go to a GI doc to be on the safe side. GI doc ordered endoscopy/biopsy. He also wants me to see a new ENT doc, because my old ENT found a nodule on one of my vocal chords 4 years ago, and never followed up. So.... Thursday I see him.

Already told you about the booby smash turning out funky. I had a more detailed mammogram last week, and an ultrasound, and they found calcifications that look suspicious. Great. I will have a biopsy on 8/25. School starts next Monday, so I'll have to do some juggling.

Please keep me in your thoughts. My mom died of breast cancer when she was 41, and I was 5. It's all I can think of. My niece is in remission, too. Sister had calcifications removed 9 years ago. I know....even if this is malignant, it will be Stage 0, and hopefully easily treated. Still, I'm a little scared.

Hoping for the best for you! At least you are diligent on following up with all the testing and seeing to it promptly. Science and medicine has come a long way not just in early detection but also treatment options. Hugs!

Thank you! Yes, they have come a long way. Just hearing my sister describe her breast biopsy was frightening!

You are right to be intimidated. That is a lot going on all at once.
I will be praying for you. Lean into us. Take deep breaths and know you are going to juggle all this and come out the other side fabulously.

Confessions of a biker babe

This is my first blog, so here goes... My husband and I just got back from "HOGROCK", down in SO. IL. It's a 4-day biker/camping event, similar to the "BOOGIE", which is in So. IN.
