HELLO FRIENDS!
It's my last Friday before school starts again. I think I'm ready for a routine again. Not crazy about getting up at 4:45am every morning, but for the most part, my job is fun, so let's do this!

I promised I would update you all about my doctors' appointments. 2 out of 3 biopsies came back benign!!! No Barrett's Esophagus (yippee!), and no C cells in my stomach lining. They say I have mild chronic gastritis, but I have no symptoms whatsoever. Hmmmm. Still waiting for the doctor to explain everything. MyChart came through in less than 24 hours, that's how I know. He wants to wean me off of the PPI's (Pantoprozole). I did some research, and after long term use, these buggers kill ALL the acid in your stomach, so you might end up with lung and/or gut infections. You could suffer nutritional deficiencies, bone fractures, kidney disease, and now they might be linked to dementia. Yikes.

Yet another tornado went through our area and surrounding towns. We had no damage again (so lucky), power was out 24 hours. Generator saved us again! We took 2 different routes to the doctor the last 2 days, and saw so much damage. Trees down, utility poles down, wires everywhere, damaged roofs, windows broken out, power outages, etc... It is incredibly sad. We had a rain/lightening/thunderstorm during the night last night, thankfully no wind. Enough already. Everyone needs a break.

I am delighted that 2 out of 3 of the biopsies came out benign. And the third is ... ?

I swear your summer just started last week! How can it be almost over already?!?

The 3rd is a breast biopsy. They found calcifications that look suspicious. If it is malignant, it will be Stage 0, but I don't want it.
Right?? Quick summer, and nothing but storms, tornados, bad air, and humidity. WTF!

I don't want to talk too loudly, but we have been very lucky. Only lost a pool raft. The solar cover hung on by 1 hook.

Congrats on the good news!! I'm not a fan of long term med usage of any kind. Just too many (potential) side effects.

Glad you're safe. Been a crazy year weather-wise all over the country. Fairly boring here, just dry and HOT. (108 actual temp yesterday.)

Confessions of a biker babe

This is my first blog, so here goes... My husband and I just got back from "HOGROCK", down in SO. IL. It's a 4-day biker/camping event, similar to the "BOOGIE", which is in So. IN.
