It was pure luck that we were introduced. A close friend put us in touch last week. From the moment I first saw her, I was in awe of how special and rare she was.
She waited patiently... under the chilly morning sunlight.
I knew she required caution and respect. I wouldn't let her down. I stood there for a second and admired her subtle blue undertones as they shimmered beneath the lustrous black coat she wore.
What a delectable beauty.
I approached... and touched her. She raised her voice to me with a hypnotic, soul-soothing growl. The power of four hundred and eighty mustangs lay within her core, and could compress gravity into a single microsecond of neck-snapping force. She teased me with a sensual vibration that rumbled through my body.
We were close to HWY 40... slowly heading to a wide open speedway. I eased her into the access lane doing 60 in third gear, then down-shifted into second and let her rip.
For fuck's sake!
She shoved me flat into the headrest as we took off like a damn rocket. I pinned her through third... and fourth... then slammed her... into fifth gear... and when I finally looked — we were doing 153 miles per hour: she taps out at 155. I slowly eased off the gas.
That sales guy next to me gripped the dash with both hands, and looked like he was about to piss his pants. I smirked and headed back to home base. She and I danced a wonderful G-Force tango... while I played with her gears.
Sailors called their ships "she," and the automotive world inherited the tradition. Men saw their cars as beautiful, high-maintenance companions that required "regular care" — is that a euphemism?
I called her "SHE" because I had a hard-on from the moment she spoke.
But seriously, are you kidding me? I don't think I'd survive longer than a month... if I owned her.
I'll admit it — SHE is too much "woman" for me.

Well, I'm not even sure that someone can really be "too much" for someone else, whether we're talking about a man or a woman. If two people truly love each other, I don't think anyone is ever “too much”. What does exist is that people sometimes want very different things from life, and that either prevents love from growing or makes it impossible... which, in the end, amounts to the same thing. But that's just how I see it.
Personally, I've never felt either inferior or superior to anyone. Now, could some of the many men who rejected me over the years have done so because they thought I wasn't enough for them? Mind you, I'm talking about nothing more profound than a tumble in bed! Perhaps... but if so, their loss ?

I have been with people that thought I was out of their league. I guess my ex felt I was, which came out in therapy 20 years into it as he was leaving. But I felt we were equal in intelligence and looks. (TMI?) Outside of that, I think there are those that I drool over that want nothing to do with me. Does that make them out of my league? Maybe, but fuck 'em. 😶 I'm okay to keep drooling and not lose any sleep over it. That wasn't always the case, especially before I lost my virginity. (Again, TMI?)
