Dating a much older man can be great – here’s why
He’s old enough to be your dad and you would never be able to introduce him to your immature friends or horrified parents.
But if he ticks more than six of the following boxes, he may well be a keeper.
Or at least worth entertaining for a while.

1. You look a bit older than your years; he looks a bit younger

The pair of you hit a sweet spot where you just about get away with being a couple in public without attracting judgemental stares. The age gap is apparent but not unnerving.
2. He has great dress sense
He’s had years to find his style and he’s used them wisely. He needs no pointers or subtle hints about what he should be wearing.
3. He treats you like a lady
An older gentleman is incredibly sexy. He opens doors for you and lights your cigarettes. He knows his way around a wine list. Men your age haven’t got a clue.

He reminds you of a leading man in a film. They’re usually mid-forties with the years etched on their chiselled faces. You had them on posters up on your wall and now you’re sitting opposite a lookalike at dinner.

‘It’s your turn to plan a date’… A man with experience knows not to remind you of all the effort he made last weekend.
6. His mates don’t come into it
You see each other when you’re both willing and available and all the attention is on you. His friends are older grown-ups like him and he considers them far less interesting than you.

Things that boys take for granted he notices and marvels at for hours. He loves your face, your hair, your body, considers you some sort of goddess. It’s pretty nice.

You’re years off kids and he’s been and done marriage. You’re free to enjoy each others’ company without such expectations of the other person
